<br />c. Size: The surface area of any temporary sign shall not exceed 75 square <br />feet. This area shall be in addition to permanent, window and other <br />signage allowed elsewhere in this chapter. <br /> <br />d. Location: A temporary sign shall be located a minimum of 15 feet from a <br />property line. <br /> <br />B. Not Required: A permit is not required for the following sign. <br /> <br />1. One noncommercial sign no larger than 6 square feet and no higher than 6 feet tall <br />may be displayed on any lot in all zoning districts without obtaining a permit. <br /> <br />2. Where this Chapter allows any commercial sign, a noncommercial sign meeting <br />the same size, location, and other standards shall be allowed without obtaining a <br />permit. <br /> <br />3. Signs including electronic message devices within the interior of buildings, or <br />signs which are not intended to be visible beyond the premises on which the signs <br />are located are not subject to the regulations set forth in this Chapter. COrd. 1163, <br />7-24-1995) <br /> <br />4. Nameplate Signs <br /> <br />5. Construction Signs: Construction signs shall be confined to the site of <br />construction, alteration or repair and shall be constructed of high-quality material <br />maintained in good repair. No more than one sign is permitted on each street <br />frontage the project abuts. The sign shall be removed within 180 days of the date <br />of the issuance of a building permit for the work. A conditional use permit is <br />required for a contractor sign to remain in place longer than allowed by this <br />subsection. Construction signs are allowed in zoning districts in accordance with <br />the following criteria: <br /> <br />ZONING <br />DISTRICT <br />R-l & R-2 <br /> <br />SIZE <br /> <br />HEIGHT PLACEMENT/SETBACK <br /> <br />16 sq. ft. <br /> <br />8 foot maximum 5 feet from property line/zero if <br />attached to security fence <br />12 foot maximum 5 feet from property line/zero if <br />attached to security fence <br /> <br />All other Districts <br /> <br />32 sq. ft. per <br />street fronta~e <br /> <br />- 11 - <br />
