She said they plan to make signs <br />149 highlighting the Commission's achievements in the past year; referring specifically to Civic <br />150 Engagement, Student Essay Contest, and Vote No on the Marriage Amendment. She asked for <br />151 volunteers to help make posters for the Rose Parade on June 25. Commissioner Thao encouraged all <br />152 others to march in the parade to show support for the work of the Commission, noting that last year <br />153 she was the only commissioner present. <br />154 <br />155 <br />156 <br />157 <br />158 <br />159 <br />160 <br />161 <br />162 <br />163 <br />164 <br />165 <br />166 <br />167 <br />168 <br />169 <br />Commissioner poneen also noted that her committee had prepared the Program Planning <br />Parameters attached to her Committee Report and which had been suggested to be included in the <br />Commission's By-Laws. <br />Commissioner poneen noted the correction to the program planning minutes of March 27, a copy of <br />which correction is hereby attached to these minutes. <br />Outreach Committee <br />Report & Recommendations on Voter ID Constitutional Amendment: Commissioner Wayne <br />Groff said that Commissioner Brisbois had planned on giving the Committee's report but in her <br />absence he would do so. He invited Youth Commissioner The committee met twice. He indicated <br />they are �-considering having an educational forum on Voter ID amendment later in the year, <br />adding that it would not follow the format. <br />170 Report on Collaborating Commissions Activities: Commissioner Groff said representatives from <br />171 the area human rights commission met to talk about collaboration. Maplewood is hosting two panel <br />172 discussions on the marriage amendment, and the Outreach Committee will bring a proposal to work <br />173 with them. <br />174 <br />175 <br />176 <br />177 <br />178 <br />179 <br />180 <br />181 <br />182 <br />183 <br />184 <br />Youth Commission Task Force Report <br />Possible 2013 Student Essay Contest Topics: Youth Commissioner Marie Siliciano gave the Task <br />Force's report. She reviewed the list of suggested essay topics which the Commission could te <br />submit to the League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions (LMHRC). Siliciano said that the <br />Youth Commissioners tried to focus their suggested topics on issues which could apply to <br />Roseville's community or any other Minnesota community_ <br />Commissioners handed out to the Commission a list of ten suggested-state essay contest-topics, a <br />copy of which is hereby attached and made part of the record, for next year's LMHRC student essay <br />
