Vice Chair Majerus noted that <br /> over the years since its inception, nineteen (19) member volunteers had served <br /> on the HRA Board; each providing their passions in serving the community and <br /> promoting HRA efforts on behalf of the City of Roseville. <br /> Member William Masche highlighted accomplishments of the body from 2008 <br /> —2012 as an annual work plan was developed as staffing was provided for HRA <br /> efforts. Member Masche noted initiating the successful and well-received <br /> Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP); development of the "Living <br /> Smarter" marketing campaign and website, and updating of the annual Home <br /> and Garden Fair; various housing efforts; development of the on-line Green <br /> Remodeling Book, and other green efforts; as well as research and study to keep <br /> updated on successful programs used elsewhere to provide learning opportuni- <br /> ties for the group and the community. <br /> One of the success stories, was the Sienna Green project, with Member Masche <br /> noting their grand opening scheduled for tomorrow; and expounded on the vari- <br /> ous amenities and assets in that one area. <br /> On a personal note, beginning his second term on the HRA Board, Member <br /> Masche expressed his excitement about the updated Strategic Plan for 2012- <br /> 2016: the plan itself, strategies outlined, and Mission Statement; and how the <br /> HRA was evolving since its inception. Member Masche noted that synergy now <br /> evident among staff and other departments, allowing the HRA to develop into a <br /> cohesive organization designed to accomplish specific goals. Member Masche <br /> opined that this was a great change, and expressed appreciation for Chair Mas- <br /> chka and former Chair Majerus' leadership; allowing for a carefully-staged <br /> transition over the years, providing great benefit for the citizens of Roseville. <br /> Member Masche, personally and on behalf of the HRA Board, expressed appre- <br /> ciation to the City Council for their support of past plans, and anticipated their <br /> support of and excitement about the new Mission of the HRA; as well express- <br /> ing appreciation for the City Council's support of past levies. Member Masche <br /> concluded by stating that he felt privileged to serve on the HRA Board. <br /> Chair Maschka highlighted the five (5) core principles provided in the updated <br /> four (4) year HRA Strategic Plan moving forward for 2012 —2016, listed below <br /> and detailed in the materials: <br /> • Foster, promote, and effectively communicate the advantages of living in <br /> Roseville; <br /> • Create and maintain high quality, sustainable multi-family housing options; <br /> • Create and maintain high quality, sustainable single-family housing options; <br /> • Prevent and eliminate blight on individual properties, neighborhoods and the <br /> entire community; and <br />
