City Coancxl Study 5ession <br />Monday, July 16, 2007 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Mr. Neprash advised the City Council that he had comments to make <br />2 as a private citizen, not as a member of the City's Public Works, <br />3 Transportation and Environment Commission, on the Northwestern <br />4 College expansion and sought clarification as to when the City Coun- <br />5 cil would hear those comments. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Klausing noted that other than initial public comment on non- <br />8 agenda items, the City Council as a practice didn't hear public com- <br />9 ment on specific agenda items at Study Sessions in an effort to aliow <br />10 the Czty Council adequate discussion time wiih staf� However, <br />� 1 Mayor Klausing noted that public comment would be heard at the up- <br />12 coming regular Council meeting where action would be taken on this <br />13 item. Mayor Klausing respectfully requested that Mr. Neprash pro- <br />14 vide his comments in writing by e-mail or letter to the Ci�ty Council`s <br />15 attention, with a staff copy, to allow adequate research and response. <br />i� <br />17 Mr. Neprash advised he would do so; and also noted that he would be <br />1 S providing recommendations from the Public Works, Environment and <br />].9 Transportation Commission to the City Council at the upcoming <br />20 meeting also. <br />21 <br />22 4. Joint CounciUCommission Meeting — Meeting with the Parks and <br />27 Recreation Commission <br />28 Chair Jeff Johnson spoke on behalf of the Commission and introduced <br />29 commissioners present. Parks & Recreation Commission members <br />30 present included: Harold Ristow, James Stark, Jeff Johnson, Robert <br />31 Willmus, Gaie Pederson, and Mark Kamrath. <br />32 <br />33 Mayor Klausing complimented the Commission on the recent cere- <br />34 mony at Harriei Alexander Nature Center (HANC) for the vision- <br />35 impaired sculptures, and thanked the Commission for their work and <br />36 achievement. <br />37 <br />
