This unit will also undertake special projects, <br />control the implem�ntation and removal of departmental fornas, analysis of current <br />procedures and functions, and prepare analytical reports at the discretion of the CE�. <br />FISCAL AFFAIRS: The Fiscal Affairs Unit will consist of a civilian unit head, a secretary, and <br />four employees. The Fiscal Affairs Unit will be responsible for the planning, coordination, <br />and support of the county police force budget. It will aiso be responsible for overseeing the <br />fiscal management of the various units comprising the county police force. <br />CRIME ANALYSIS: The Crime Analysis Unit will consist of a civilian unit head, a secretary, <br />and four additional employees. The Crime analysis Unit will be responsible for compiling <br />and distributing statistical information necessary for the functioning and decision making <br />processes of the county police force. <br />�.EGISI,�TIVE, A�1TD GRANTS: The Legislative and Grants Unit would consist of three <br />employees and a secretary. This unit would be responsible for following the current <br />le�islative processes, and represen-ting the best interests of the county police force. It would <br />aiso be responsible for the securing of state and federal grants as de#ermined by the needs <br />of the county police force. <br />The following is a description of the units making up the fourth section: <br />PERSONNEL: Personnel would be comprised of a civiiian unit head, a secretary. and <br />assistant, and six employees. The Personnel Unit would be responsible for maintaining <br />accurate and up-to-datQ records of the personnel of the county police force. It would also be <br />responsible for labor relations. recruitments, promotional aspects, off�luty wark, personnel <br />boards for sworn and non-sworn, and provide the timekeeping function for sworn and non- <br />sworn personnel. Personnel would also set up a career development component #or all <br />employees. <br />TRAIIITING: The Z�aining Unit would consist of a section commander. a secretary, and four <br />additional emplayees. It would be the responsibility of the �Yaining Unit to plan, develop, <br />and conduct the training of the county police force and keep accurate and u�rto-date records <br />of such training. It would also be responsible for maintaining the training facilities of the <br />cotxnty police force and the coordination and use of facilities. <br />RANGE: The Range staff will consist of a unit commander, a secretary, and four ran►ge <br />officers. The Range would be responsible for each member of the county police force <br />qualifying with the service pistol and shotg�in quarterly, and keep accurate and u�to-dgte <br />records of such qualifications. The Range will also issue service weapons, ammunition, and <br />provide maintenance as needed. <br />CIRT SWAT�: The CIRT Unit would consist of the section Commander and the commander's <br />assistant. The CIRT Unit would be responsibie for recruiting and maintaining adequate <br />personnel, training, and equipment. The CIRT Unit would be responsible for taking over <br />high risk tactical situations at the discretion of the CEO. The personnel would be volunteer <br />and should consist of approximstely forty sworn members selected from the ranks of the <br />department. <br />HEALTH AND WELLNESS: The He�lth and Wellness Unit would consist of a civilian unit <br />m <br />
