The conduct of such <br />examinations shali be based upon the following rules: <br />a. Notice of the titne, pIace and scope of each en - evel examination shall be given <br />by public advertisement at least ten days in advance in the official newspaper of the <br />City of Roseville and any other newspapers or publications deemed appropriate by <br />the Commission and the posting of such advertisement for �r ten days in tl�e City <br />Hall and on the Police Department BuIletin Boazd. <br />b. Examinations shall be designed to test the relative q�alifications and fitness of each <br />applicant. Examinations may consist of parts which are written and oral. The <br />examinations may also test the applicant's ability to perform the physical <br />requirements of the position and has or her psychoZogical fitness. Applicants may <br />also be examined concerning tlieir moral chazacter, sobriety, integrity and where <br />positions require special experience, skill vr faithfulness. The Commission shall <br />have the soie discretion to determine the weights to be given to each portian of an <br />examination so long as such weights aze uniformly app�ied to all applicants. All <br />applicants for a position will undergo the same testing procedure. <br />c. Examinations may be canceIed by the Commission upon reasonable notice, in <br />writing, to each applicant.
