Roseville Police Civil Service Commission Page 2
Minutes, January 19, 1995
Mr. Bru11 reviewed the scoring error PDI made during the last
sergeant test process. He said PDI now. has two people
checking scores if candidates use t$eir own name as
identifiers and, when codes are used to identzfy candidates,
PDI has three people check the scores for consistency and
accuracy. He was confident the mistakes would not reoccur.
Commissioner olson asked for percentages of the last test
weights (attached) and how they were chosen. Research has
shown that the Roseville Police staff, in consultation with
PDI, chose the various test component weights.
The Commission asked Fischler and Brull to write letters
summarizing haw they would devise their tests to measure, if
possible, management aptitudes including such things as
creativity, flexibility, and motivation. The letter were to
be sent to Chief Zelinsky by January 27; so the Commission
would have time to revzew them before the next meeting.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting, the annual meeting, was set for Monday,
February 6, at 5:00 p.m.
ADOURNMENT
King moved, Weidenbach seconded, that the meeting be adjaurned at
7:49 p.m. RalZ Call, Ayes: King, Weidenbach, and Olson.
