Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />September 19, 2012 <br />91 Chair Grefenberg indicated he would be willing to work with Commissioner Groff and Thao to <br />92 create flyers promoting both of these events and posting them at local coffee houses and other <br />93 places. <br />94 <br />95 <br />96 <br />97 <br />98 <br />99 <br />100 <br />101 <br />102 <br />103 <br />104 <br />105 <br />io6 <br />Commissioner Kaying Thao expressed her regrets that she would not be able to attend either <br />event. <br />Commissioner Groff stated he would ask the Maplewood Commission for a flyer and get it to <br />Chair Grefenberg. <br />Chair Grefenberg stated the NextDoor Network could also be contacted regarding these <br />upcoming events. <br />Commissioner Groff suggested the events be posted on the Youth Commissioners' Facebook <br />page inviting Roseville residents to attend. <br />107 Youth Commission Task Force Report <br />los Commissioner Marie Siliciano stated the next Roseville Youth far Human Rights meeting would <br />109 be held on Saturday, September 29th. She noted the Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) was invited <br />110 and voting materials would be presented, along with ballot language. She explained carpooling <br />111 to the polls would be discussed too. Commissioner Siliciano said the meetings would be held in <br />112 the Raider Room at 3:00 p.m. <br />113 <br />114 Chair Grefenberg encouraged the Youth Commission to inform staff of their meetings in order to <br />115 have them posted in local newsletters, etc. He also suggested the Youth Commission utilize their <br />116 own networks to seek another youth commissioner interested in serving on the HRC. <br />117 <br />1 l g Operations Committee on By-Laws <br />119 Committee Chair Grefenberg thanked Commissioners Doneen and Singleton for their work on <br />12o the By-Laws, and asked that they present the committee report. <br />121 <br />122 <br />123 <br />124 <br />125 <br />126 <br />127 <br />128 <br />129 <br />130 <br />131 <br />132 <br />133 <br />134 <br />135 <br />Commissioner poneen said she and Commissioner Singleton met and discussed the draft By- <br />Laws. She reviewed the proposed revisions with the group. She reviewed the document noting <br />internal matters that could be reviewed by the Operations Committee. <br />Commissioner David Singleton explained the revisions made to the By-Laws were based on <br />feedback received from the HRC members. <br />Chair Grefenberg questioned whether the Commission had previously decided that under Article <br />6 the youth commissioners be listed as a standing committee. He suggested the description <br />previously applied to the Youth Engagement Task Force could be added in this location as well. <br />Commissioner poneen agreed that this had been an inadvertent omission and should be added <br />under Item 6AD — Youth Commissioners Committee. <br />
