jurisdictions within the City of Roseville. The projects shall be prioritized based on 47 <br />the following criteria: 48 <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br />1 st Criteria: Any previously funded undergr ound utility priority corridor project 51 <br />which was subsequently removed from funded list and placed on 52 <br />deferment. 53 <br /> 54 <br />2 nd Criteria: All identified corridor reconstruction projects where utility pole 55 <br />relocation is necessary for the public facilities construction. 56 <br /> 57 <br />3 rd Criteria: All identifie d undergrounding corridor projects contiguous to 58 <br />previous undergrounding. 59 <br /> 60 <br />4 th Criteria: Any corridor adja cent to public facilities, schools, retail areas, and 61 <br />parks, and recreation facilities. 62 <br /> 63 <br />5 th Criteria: Corridors with over 5000 ADT traffic volumes. These corridors 64 <br />provide access for emergency firs t responders and would benefit 65 <br />from minimum risk of obstr uction from damaged overhead 66 <br />facilities. 67 <br /> 68 <br />6 th Criteria: Corridors with existing or pl anned major pedestrian facilities. 69 <br /> 70 <br />7 th Criteria: Tree preservation 71 <br /> 72 <br />8 th Criteria: Entry co rridors to the city where aesthetics create a positive image 73 <br />for visitors and residents. 74 <br /> 75 <br /> 76 <br />a. Funding of projects: 77 <br /> 78 <br />Undergrounding of overhead electric u tility lines will pr imarily be funded 79 <br />utilizing the PUC authorized Community Requested Facilities Surcharge which 80 <br />has an established maximum stacking amount on a customer’s electric bill. CRFS 81 <br />Projects will be limited to the total amount available for surcharge per PUC rules. 82 <br /> 83 <br />The City will seek to cooperate w ith adjacent communities on undergrounding 84 <br />projects on border corridors where the overhead facilitie s serve properties in both 85 <br />communities. 86 <br /> 87 <br />This policy does not prohibit neighborhood initiated request of undergrounding if 88 <br />alternative sources or methods of funding ar e identified. 89 <br /> 90
