Agreement <br />This Agreement is made and entered into this date, January 1, 2013 by <br />and between Allina Health System, a Minnesota non-profit corporation, d/b/a <br />Allina Hospitals and Clinics ("Allina Health Emergency Medical Services") <br />located at 167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55102 and the City of <br />Roseville ("Roseville") having principal offices at 2660 Civic Center Dr. <br />Roseville Minnesota 55113. <br />Witnesseth <br />WHEREAS, Roseville, through its Fire Department, is an entity engaged in <br />providing emergency response, care and treatment services to patients; and <br />WHEREAS, Allina Health Emergency Medical Services, by legislative <br />authority of the Public Service Area Statute, is the Advanced Life Support ("ALS") <br />and/or Basic Life Support ("BLS") service provider in the City of Roseville and <br />has the personnel and resources to provide medical direction oversight to the <br />Roseville Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Roseville wishes to utilize medical direction oversight in the <br />manner and to the extent set forth in this Agreement and the attachments hereto; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto hereby agree as follows: <br />Medical Direction Oversight. Allina Health Emergency Medical Services <br />hereby agrees to provide medical direction oversight to the Roseville Fire <br />Department throughout the term of this Agreement. For the purposes of <br />this Agreement, medical direction oversight will include: <br />a. approving standards for training and orientation of personnel that <br />impact patient care; <br />b. approving standards for purchasing equipment and supplies that <br />impact patient care; <br />c. establishing standing orders for pre-hospital care; <br />d. approving triage, treatment, and transportation protocols; <br />e. participating in the development and operation of continuous quality <br />improvement programs; <br />f. establishing procedures for the administration of inedications; <br />g. maintaining the quality of care according to the standards and <br />procedures established under clauses (a) to (f); and <br />h. administration packages and training as specified in Exhibit A. <br />In consideration for the foregoing medical direction oversight and the <br />services and benefits designated in Provision 5 and 8 below Roseville <br />
