Utilities The sanitary sewer and watermain extension will be constructed within a public utility easement. The easement will be dedicated prior to the start of construction. All utilities will be constructed according to City of Roseville specifications. A new manhole will be constructed over the existing Metropolitan Council Sewer. The depth of the main in this area is approximately 20 feet deep. As a result, the new manhole will be a 72 inch manhole constructed with an inside drop. This will minimize the depth and also the cost of the proposed public sewer lateral extension. The sanitary sewer lateral depth will be designed to provide gravity services to the home lots. The new public sanitary sewer main will be constructed with 8 inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. It will be necessary to construct two additional public manholes on the new public main. The new watermain will be connected to the 12 inch cast iron pipe. The new main will be constructed with 6 inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. A hydrant will be installed at the end of the new pipe for flushing and fire protection. The existing utility services for the property at 3040 Hamline will be disconnected at the public utility mains as required by City Code. The home will be reconnected to the new public sanitary sewer and watermain extension. A private manhole is proposed to be connected to the existing forcemain, with a 6 inch PVC sewer service connected to the new public sewer lateral. The service from the private manhole to the main will be gravity flow. Private utility companies have been notified that this project is being considered for construction in 2013. It is their responsibility to relocate facilities within the right- of- way that interfere with the proposed project. The extension of private utilities will be coordinated as a part of this construction project. C. Driveways It will be necessary to remove a portion of the existing driveway to 3040 Hamline Avenue to construct the improvements. The restoration of this driveway will be coordinated with the petitioner. The new home lots will be connected to Hamline Avenue by a shared private drive. This driveway will be constructed when these lots come in for building permits.
