Advising the Mayo�, City Council, and Citv Mana� on policies-and issues regarding <br />human rights and civic engagement as they affect our community. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Standin� Committee Reports <br />Outreach Committee <br />Report on Conference Attended: Commissioner Groff discussed the conference he attended <br />on December 1 sponsored by Out Front. He stated the conference was held on World Aids Day. <br />He indicated some of the small groups had 40-50 people in attendance, which made dialogue <br />difficult. <br />Youth Commissioner Joann Dao commented on the small discussions she attended at the <br />conference, which included bullying and racial discrimination. <br />Youth Commissioner Julia Laden noted she attended the Minnesota Human Rights Symposium, <br />�'�° °�+��^+°� estimatin tg hat there were 200 people in attendance. She commented the main <br />topics discussed were sexual harassment, criminal justice and public policy. In response to the <br />Chair's question as to what mi�ht be useful to the HRC in the future, she stated a bullying <br />initiative may be worth the Roseville HRC getting involved in. <br />Youth Commission Task Force Report: There was nothing to report. <br />263 Civic Engagement Task Force: Chair Grefenberg indicated he attended two days of interviews <br />264 with consultants for the redesign of the City's website. The finances of the <br />HRC were briefly discussed. <br />Chair Grefenberg requested a 2012 expense report be available for the HRC to review at the <br />February meeting. <br />Human Rights Notification System: Ms. Curti indicated the Human Rights Notification <br />System email addresses have been transferred and a notice has been sent out to this group. She <br />was pleased with the new system stating there were currently 125 members. <br />Old Business <br />Confirmation to Renew Membership in League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions: <br />Because of the lateness of the hour this item would be discussed in February. <br />
