She asked how *'�° �'����^ �r�n^°�°r* <br />�'����it was-anticipated this two-day event would be conducted. She also noted the grant <br />funds would have to be used in the next six months. <br />Ms. Dushin noted the event would not be lecture style, but rather the goal was to have good <br />dialogue with the various members of the community in attendance. She hoped to have <br />representatives from both school districts, the police department and the community. <br />Ms. Curti commented that the promotion of this event could be handled by Staff, which would <br />benefit the budget. <br />Ms. Dushin stated the $2,500 grant should be sufficient to cover the expenses for the event. <br />Chair Grefenberg thanked Ms. Dushin for taking the lead on this event as violence was an issue <br />in the headlines on a daily basis. <br />Commissioner Wa,yne Groff commented this dialogue fit well into the HRC's goals and <br />objectives. <br />Commissioner Becker questioned if the grant funds came with any stipulations. <br />City Manager Malinen read the grant agreement requirements noting a blog posting had to be <br />written within 45 days of the event discussing the progress made at the event. An accounting <br />function was also required. <br />Chair Grefenberg r€=aze�-�t�e— at}tr���s-n�e-e�.��t#i�-e��e��e noted Ms. Dushin � <br />.="��had volunteered-to complete the blog entry required �^r *'�° °��°r* bv this provision.- <br />139 Commissioner Singleton moved and Commissioner Groff seconded a motion to authorize that <br />140 administration apply for the Meadowlark Institute grant proposal in the amount of $2,500 and <br />141 direct the Program Planning Committee to proceed with planning the Community Dialogue on <br />142 Violence with a report made to the HRC in the future. Motion passed unanimously. <br />
