City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. ________ <br />1 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SELECTED TEXT OF CHAPTERS 1001 (INTRODUCTION) <br />2 <br />AND 1011 (PROPERTY PERFORMANCESTANDARDS) OF TITLE 10 “ZONING CODE” OF <br />3 <br />THEROSEVILLECITY CODE <br />4 <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br />5 <br />SECTION 1. Purpose: <br />The Roseville City Code is hereby amended to correct simple errors in <br />6 <br />syntax, spelling, and organization. <br />7 <br />SECTION 2. Chapter1001is hereby amended as follows: <br />8 <br />1001.10Definitions <br />9 <br />D,:As defined in Minnesota rules, means: Day care for no more than 10 <br />10 AY CAREFAMILY <br />of no <br />children at one time or which nor more than 6 are under school age. The licensed <br />11 <br />capacity must include all children of any caregiver when the children are present in the <br />12 <br />residence. <br />13 <br />L,:The boundary of a lot which abuts an existing, dedicated or officially <br />14 OT LINEFRONT <br />a <br />mapped street. In the case of lot abutting more than one street, the owner may choose <br />15 <br />any street lot line as the front lot line, with the consent of Community Development <br />16 <br />Department, based on the effects of such choice on development of the lot itself or on <br />17 <br />adjacent properties. <br />18 <br />SECTION 3.Chapter 1011 is hereby amended as follows: <br />19 <br />1011.08Fences in All Districts <br />20 <br />A.General Requirements: Fences may be constructed, placed, or maintained in any yard <br />21 <br />or adjacent to a lot line in accordance with these requirements. <br />22 <br />1.The owner of the property upon which a fence is located shall be responsible for <br />23 <br />locating all property lines prior to constructing said fence. <br />24 <br />2.All fence posts and supporting members shall be placed within the property lines <br />25 <br />of the property on which the fence is located. <br />26 <br />3.Fences in front yards shall not exceed 4 feet in height. Notwithstanding this <br />27 <br />limitation, fences in front yards which are adjacent to the side or rear yards of <br />28 <br />abutting lots may be as tall at 6.5 feet. <br />29 <br />4.Fence height shall be measured from the average grade adjacent to the bottom of <br />30 <br />the fence to the top of the fence material. Fence posts mayextend an additional 6 <br />31 <br />inches. <br />32 <br />5.All fences shall be constructed so that the finished side or more attractive side of <br />33 <br />the fence faces the adjacent property or the public right-of-way. <br />34 <br />6.All fences shall be constructed of durable, uniform, weather-resistant, and rust- <br />35 <br />proofed materials. <br />36 <br />7.All fences shall be maintained and kept in good condition. <br />37 <br /> <br />
