8.Fences exceeding 4 feet in height shall require a building permit from the City. <br />38 <br />9.Temporary snow fencing is allowed seasonally, when snow is present, <br />39 <br />without a permit. <br />40 <br />10.Non-residential Fences: In addition to the requirements of this section, fences <br />41 <br />in all non-residential districts shall conform to the screening requirements of <br />42 <br />Section 1011.03B of this Chapter. <br />43 <br />11.Fencing of Play Areas: For public or private parks and playgrounds located <br />44 <br />adjacent to a public right-of-way or railroad right-of-way, a landscaped yard <br />45 <br />area no less than 30 feet in width or a fence no less than 4 feet in height shall <br />46 <br />be installed between the facility and the right-of-way. <br />47 <br />B.Residential Fences: The following standards shall apply to all fences constructed in <br />48 <br />. <br />any residential zoning district or directly adjacent to any residential zoning district: <br />49 <br />. <br />1.No fence used for screening or security shall exceed 6.5 feet in height; <br />50 <br />2.Fences shall be comprised of chain-link, wood, plastic, or metal, but shall not be <br />51 <br />. <br />barbed wire, electric, weaved or welded wire; and <br />52 <br />3.Temporary snow fencing is allowed seasonally, when snow is present, without a <br />53 <br />permit; <br />54 <br />3. <br />4.Exception: Weaved or welded wire or mesh fences erected at the periphery of a <br />55 <br />garden and used to keep unwanted animals out of the garden shall be allowed toa <br />56 <br />maximum of 8 feet in height. <br />57 <br />5.Non-residential Fences: In addition to the requirements of this section, fences in <br />58 <br />all non-residential districts shall conform to the screening requirements of Section <br />59 <br />1011.03B of this Chapter. <br />60 <br />6.Fencing of Play Areas: For public or private parks and playgrounds located <br />61 <br />adjacent to a public right-of-way or railroad right-of-way, a landscaped yard area <br />62 <br />no less than 30 feet in width or a fence no less than 4 feet in height shall be <br />63 <br />installed betweenthe facility and the right-of-way. <br />64 <br />SECTION 4.Effective Date: <br />This ordinance amendment to the Roseville City Code <br />65 <br />shall take effect upon passage and publication. <br />66 <br />th <br />Passed this 13 day of May 2013 <br />67 <br /> <br />
