Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />April 17, 2013 — Draft Minutes <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />93 Commissioner poneen moved and Commissioner Groff seconded a motion to approve the <br />94 revised rating sheet for the 2013-2014 essay contest as proposed by Chair poneen. Motion <br />95 passed unanimously. <br />96 <br />97 Update on Plans for Community Dialogues on Violence April 30 and May 14: Chair <br />98 Grefenberg ��� called the Commission's attention to the flyers for the upcoming <br />99 community dialogues on violence °^'�°a��'°�' � r r''„°�a��, n�r;' �n �ra T„°�a^�� "�r��,' ^. He <br />100 �et�l-said violence or the fear of violence impacts many lives; � the goal of <br />101 the dialogues was to address this issue with trained facilitators t^ °r^^��r°�° �°� *�� ._,;*'�;� *'�° <br />102 se�t�. He noted a light supper would be held at the event. He encouraged each member of <br />103 the HRC to attend ^^a r°rt��*°r «��*'� °*���. He °*�� asked HRC members � to assist with <br />104 hosting the event. <br />105 <br />106 Chair Grefenberg encouraged the Commissioners to invite their friends and neighbors �� <br />107 +��as only six people were registered to date. The goal of this dialogue was to encourage discussions between 60-70 year olds with <br />127 youth . A moderator from Northwest Youth and Family Services would � <br />128 �� moderate the event, along with four panel members. She noted Joan Dao would be <br />129 � on the panel as a youth representative. <br />130 <br />131 Vice Chair Brisbois explained the Outreach Committee has been asked to co-sponsor the event <br />132 with Shoreview Human Rights Commission, and Shoreview was requesting a$100 donation e€ <br />133 �89 to assist with the event.
