Park and Recreation Renewal Program Preliminary Plans and General Discussion <br />7. <br />The Renewal Program continues with another set of preliminary plans nearing completion. <br />Following the process outlined, the neighborhood meetings for the following projects are now <br />complete with the next step to receive your input and consideration for a recommendation to the <br />City Council. The summary notes from the neighborhood/community meetings and the preliminary <br />plans in yourpacket for your review are as follows: <br />Evergreen Park <br />Oasis Park <br />Rosebrook Park <br />Sandcastle Park <br />SouthwestRoseville <br />The preliminary plans for Rosebrook Park and Southwest Roseville are included in your packet <br />and will be reviewed. Both plans offer quite unique opportunities and it is not clear at this point <br />how to proceed and will require further discussion with you, the City Council and the Community. <br />Further discussion with the Roseville School District willneed totake place regarding Evergreen <br />Park as a portion of the property is a long term lease from the Roseville Area School District. <br />Michael Schroeder, LHB/lead consultant and staff will be prepared to review theabove mentioned <br />plans with you at your meeting. <br />The process continues for the selection of a final project design, plans and specifications <br />consultant. Seven proposals were received and were scored and interviewed using the Best Value <br />method. A Best Value consultant has been identified with the clarification phase in progress. A <br />recommendation to the City Council is expected to be sometime in June. <br />Staff will continueto work with the City Attorney, LHB and Arizona State University on the <br />approach for RFP’s for actual construction. <br />Commissioner Doneenand staff will provide any progress information on the Natural Resource <br />and Trails Subcommitteeto you at the meeting. <br />Included in your packet is a list of upcoming park/project specific meetings. You are always <br />welcome to attend any or all of the meetings. <br />Please continue toreview the City website “Park and Recreation Renewal” tab and provide input <br />as you can. We appreciate comments on its use and content, what you like or how you think it <br />could be improved. <br />Any additional progress on the Renewal Program will be reported at the meeting.
