Page 3
• •
The proposed vinyl siding shall be replaced with a concrete board lap siding.
o We have looked into upgrading from vinyl to concrete lap and found
the cost to be significant. Our other Applewood Pointe in Roseville
has vinyl siding, which is designed to be a maintenance free product
that will last many years. We would like to discuss upgraded or
heavier duty vinyl as a compromise.
The plan shall include the proposed path from Brenner Ave to the path along
the north side of the access road.
o The plan does include this section of path and the view window on the
site plan sheet has been expanded to show this.
■ The City has not completed a building code review of the subinitted plans,
which review may require modifications to the building's design.
o We understand this condition.
Wetland setbacks for some of the proposed trails may need to be increased to
meet the 30-foot requirement.
o Where possible we have pulled back the path to maintain this required
distance. In locations such as where the southern path nears the
wetland we are not able to meet the desired distance. Far the specific
section where the path shoots between the pond and the wetland, the
reasoning for the reduction in distance between the path and wetland
are as follows. One, that we are required to supply a 10-foot wide path
for city maintenance access to the storm structures. Two, we wind the
path around a few trees that are significant and desirable to keep.
Three, the grades are best to accommodate a path. In the section where
the path is offsite and runs down the east side of the southern wetland,
the path is placed to require minimal disturbance to the existing
topography and vegetation. In an effort to increase the buffer
effectiveness with the reduction in desired distance. We are proposing
to introduce native vegetation between the path and wetland in all
locations that the distance requirement is not met.
If you have any questions or comments regarding the above information, please
contact me at 763-746-1612.
Sincerely,
l ' `
Zachary R.
