He requested feedback from the <br />60 members on current committee placements; and specifically asked whether newly- appointed <br />61 Commission Courneya would like to serve on the Program Planning Committee.. <br />62 <br />63 Commissioner Courneya agreed to serve on the Program Planning Committee. <br />64 <br />65 There were no eomrei#s other requests the for committee assignments. Chair <br />66 Grefenberg therefore that noted for the record that the committee <br />67 assignments would be as stated in the document distributed, with the addition of Commissioner <br />68 Courneya to the Program Planning Committee. <br />69 <br />70 Reports on Community Events and Meetings Attended by Commissioners <br />71 0 <br />72 <br />73 <br />74 • <br />75 <br />76 Falcon Heights HRC Community Conversations with Immigrants August 19: Chair <br />77 Grefenberg indicated Vice Chair Brisbois had attended the Community <br />78 Conversations with Immigrants program In her absence he explained what he <br />79 understood was the purpose of this event: was to gather information for a report that would be <br />80 given to the governor on the position and status of new immigrants in Minnesota. He <br />81 recommended the Program Planning Committee consider sponsoring a similar program in <br />82 Roseville. He suggested this event be held in eenjun.,et, collaboration with the Advocates for <br />83 Human Rights in November of this year. <br />84 <br />85 Chair Grefenbera, said his reasons for this recommendation were two -fold: it was included in the <br />86 Commission's Work Plan and last month's report to the Council, and it would be a low - energy <br />87 consuming event for the Commission since the Advocates would organize and implement the <br />88 format. He did note, however, that every commissioner would be expected to play a role during <br />89 the actual pro rg am. <br />90 <br />
