Ms. Curti stated it would be difficult to
161 televise the small group conversations; however the introduction and a summary of the
162 conversations could be televised.
163
164 Commissioner Courneya indicated the televising of the event could serve as a deterrent for
165 participants. She recommended the Community Conversation not be televised. Youth
166 Commissioner Sarah Thomas agreed.
167
168 Chair Grefenberg stated his recommendation was made simply to assist in educating the broader
169 community on the ^~Tr+''' issues raised at the event.
170
171 Commissioner Becker suggested a summary of the event be produced in order to be provided to
172 the City Council or general public. Chair Grefenber said that since there aeared little suort
173 for televisin the Conversation roram he would dro that idea and search other oortunities
174 for broader communitv education, such as that mentioned bv Commissioner Becker
175 +'-^--' ^-^.
176
177
17s
179
180
181
Commissioner Becker resonded that the event mi_ht rovide some footae—such as annin
the full room without sound--for a future video on the wark of the Human Rihts Commission.
Becker also added that at a minimum hotorahs should also be taken.
