MUSIC GO ROUND'
1722 Lexington Ave North
Roseville, MN 55113
March 22,2014
Mayor Dan Roe
City Council Members of City of Roseville: Jason Etten,Lisa Laliberte,Tammy McGehee, and Robert Willmus
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville,MN 55113
Dear Mayor Roe and Roseville City Council Members,
We look forward to speaking with you at the city council meeting on March 24th regarding the proposed changes
to Roseville's City Code Chapter 311. This subject is very important to our business and we welcome the
opportunity to share information and data with you.
If you are not familiar with our business,Music Go Round has been at the same location in Roseville,MN for
20 years and has been family owned for the last 10 years. We provide quality, affordable, new and used musical
instruments and accessories for families,businesses,non-profits, schools, churches, students and musicians and
have personal relationships in the community going back to our first day in business. We offer a valuable and
safe service to our customers by accepting trade-in and/or purchasing used musical instruments and equipment.
We are a full service music store and also have an active lesson program.
We actively promote `Reduce,Reuse, and Recycle' and actively participate with our local Chinook Book
promoting reuse and sustainability in our community. We also give back to the community by holding food
drives twice a year, donating a percentage of sales to local nonprofits, donate band instruments to schools, as
well as, organizing a school supply/backpack drive in the fall.
In this economic climate, families can have a tough time affording musical instruments for school band or a first
guitar and we believe that we provide a valuable resource for the community. Please also understand that brick-
and-mortar stores like ours cannot survive with added expenses, taxes and fees.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Francis&Terri Tilotta,Ben Bantam
Owners—Music Go Round Roseville
For additional information, please see the letter from us to Chief Mathwig dated February 22, 2014.
