This can resa�flt in peop�e making negative assutnptaons about us <br />based on t&�eir misunc�erstarading of an entire race. 'The result of this can be seer� wfl�en groups of people <br />are harassed or discriminated against in schools, �obs, ax�d k�ousing. T�ere are 13 protected classes fln the 1V�II�. <br />Unde� N�I-�IZ�, Asians are protected against disc�i�►imataoa� in employmeni, housing, education, and <br />busYness. <br />As you c�n see throug�a tY�e s�ories � have shared, my f�miYy has experiencecfl first hattd the issues of <br />stereotypi�g and their imnpact on hurrian rights. ��en though our family sometYra�es faces masunderstanding <br />because of siereotypes involving race, disabilities, and sexual orier�tation, we are fortunate to lAVe in a <br />country where rwe are protected �y the �ill of Rights, as wel� as rr�any �Yu�nan l[�ights Laws ar�d <br />Dec�arations. These are ja�s� three of the many stereotypes in the world. We caa� eligninate them by <br />speakir�g up and� sharing arur stories. �y doing so, we break down mysunderstandings of each other and <br />start to protect each others human rights. <br />
