5. Public Comments:

Delores Stewart, Park View Condominiums, explained that there was confusion
over the planning process, the mailings, and the language in the notices.
RoseviIle should be a homey area with convenience, family area.

Bill Lanski. DeIlwood Avenue. wants small town atmosphere and keep Howard
Johnson Park as a small play area. The City does not need an indoor facility or
the added parking. He prefers the open area; not more buildings and open
space. Use the Central Park ball fields as a building site. Include walkways and
upgrade the improvements already in the park.

Mike Hermes, 2796 Galtier, noted that Roseville's identity has not changed.
Unkept yards and lawns keeps property values down. A new building will
increase property values.

Eugene Bohnamen, Lexington Avenue, expressed concern about his house and
the impact on it. He explained that his property would be placed in limbo with
a new City Center District. There is noise and traffic from Lexington Avenue
already. Put the City Center in Centre Pointe. Leave me/my property alone.

Joe Matchinowski, 2690 Oxford, stated that the City Center District should only
be on land not already used. Use Central Park ball fields for building. Use empty
lots on Woodhill. Use land that belongs to Roseville.

Al Sands, 2612 AIdine N. said that Central Park should be included. Why wasn't
it included. Why was land north of Wood hill included (VFW, Veterans Park,
Shopping Strip)? Why look out 40 years; why not 5 to 10 years? Demonstrate
the need for new land before buying additional property. Take out land north of
W oodhill. Consider the Arona site.

George Warner, Huron Street, noted there was no connection between City
Center and Howard Johnson, which should be left as is. In the City Center
District. the coordination and delivery of city I government services is the only
important use. There is too much traffic, disperse the uses. Keep the library
where it is. Do not cramp the site with too much recreation. Use Lexington and
B site as a recreation site.

Pat Sajak, Parkview Terrace. said she prefers open space. Central Park does
connect neighborhoods and should be protected as open space.

Dick Houck, 1133 Roselawn. supports all development. Roseville belongs to all
people. Does the plan represent the needs of all of Roseville? He opposes
spending public money without a referendum. When the plan is complete, the
Task Force must come to the people with a plan for approval (referendum). The
Oval is an example of a project without a referendum. This was a "railroad job".
