Approve the special use permit based on the fact that the <br />proposal is consistent with the intent of the City's <br />ordinances and helps protect the general safety and welfare <br />of customers and employees of the shopping center. <br /> <br />Policy Ob;ectives: <br /> <br />l. To insure that development is consistent with the City's <br />zoning ordinance standards. <br /> <br />2. To protect the general health, safety and welfare of citizens <br />of the community. <br /> <br />staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that the City Council approve the special <br />use permit and variance to directional size standards with <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That additional warning signs be constructed adjacent to <br />the southeast corner of the Kohl's store. <br /> <br />2. That additional fire lane signs be added at the rear of <br />the building as required by the Fire Marshal. <br /> <br />Council Action Reauested: <br /> <br />1. Motion to approve Robert pounds/Welsh Co. Inc.'s request for <br />a special use permit to allow additional directional signage <br />at the Crossroads Shopping Center, 1655 W. County Road B-2 <br />with the aforementioned conditions if so desired. <br />
