The general contractor would not want <br />Identified Risk 4: to purchase or have the owner purchase new materials as a result of <br />damage from storage at the site. <br />See Owner ldentified Risk #3: We conduct pre-construction meetings with <br />our subs and vendors in which we discuss safety with regards to the job site <br />Solution / Strategy: <br />and public safety. We have a site specific safety plan that will be <br />distributed to all our subs and vendors. Jobsite perimeters will be clearly <br />defined/separated from the public. Tools and materials will be secured or <br />removed from everv site on a dailv basis. <br />Identified Risk 5: T&G protection on existing shelters. The general contractor would want to <br />ensure the finish and appearance of the wood be kept as it is currently. <br />The shelters will no longer need to be moved in order to install new <br />Solution / Strategy: foundations. In addition, the existing shelters will be painted. This <br />eliminates any concerns with keeping the original appearance of the T&G. <br />Products used may have extended lead times which can extend project <br />Identified Risk 6: <br />schedules and budgets. For example, hockey boards have an 8-16 week <br />lead time. If the submittal process is delayed, it may mean the rinks will not <br />be done until October. <br />The hockey rinks have been eliminated from the project scope. The other <br />long lead item, glulam members, has also been eliminated from the project <br />Solution / Strategy: scope. Other potential long lead items such as rebar and trusses, we have <br />already released for shop drawings to expedite the approval processes and <br />start fabrication lead times as soon as possible. <br />Identified Risk 7: Road restrictions may impact scheduled activities. <br />With a projected May 5, 2014 start we do not anticipate road restrictions <br />Solution / Strategy: <br />interfering with construction activities. <br />Identified Risk 8: <br />Adequate staging areas can help job progression to ensure products are on <br />site when needed. <br />Solution / Strategy: <br />We have already laid out our site fencing locations that establish adequate <br />staging areas for the work. <br />Identified Risk 9: <br />Subcontractors would not be able to maintain schedules on various <br />buildings. <br />Solution / Strategy: <br />We have pre-selected subcontractors that have the man-power and <br />capabilities to maintain the project schedule at various buildings. <br />Identified Risk 10: <br />The existing wood does not have adequate strength for the connections <br />where we are raising the roof. <br />Solution / Strategy: <br />This work at the shelters is no longer part of the overall scope of work of <br />the project. <br />0 <br />
