Preserve the integrity of existing single family <br />neighborhoods by prohibiting the intrusion of incompatible <br />uses. Require strict adherence to all performance standards <br />where higher intensity uses are located adjacent to single <br />family neighborhoods. <br /> <br />2. Encourage innovative planning and design in residential <br />development. <br /> <br />3. Adopt more flexible mJ.nJ.mum standards for single family <br />and mUlti-family housing developments to allow for innovative <br />development and more efficient densities. <br /> <br />4. Encourage the development of well-designed multiple <br />family dwelling proj ects which are compatible with adj acent <br />uses. The following criteria should be considered when <br />reviewing proposals for multiple family dwelling construction <br />within the City: <br /> <br />a. structures should have access to at least a collector <br />level street so that traffic generated by the complex <br />will not be channeled into minor residential streets. <br /> <br />b. Adequate recreation space should be provided on <br /> <br />site. <br /> <br />5.
