<br />OPERATION OF THE RAMSEY COUNTY BBW COLLECTION SITE <br />KENT STREET (ROSEVILLB) LOCATION <br /> <br />Site Description <br /> <br />The Ramsey County household hazardous waste (Haw) collection site in <br />Roseville will consist of a concrete slab covered by a temporary <br />canopy, located adjacent to and east of Kent Street, east of Dale <br />Street and just north of Larpenteur Avenue. The site will be operated <br />solely by Dynex staff, and will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from <br />September 11th through October 31st. <br /> <br />Site improvements for this collection site will consist of a sealed, <br />reinforced concrete pad surrounded by asphalt pavement. Improvements <br />will be designed and constructed by the Ramsey County Department of <br />Public Works. Ramsey County will supply directional signs with <br />portable sign bases and sand bags, and No Dumping signs. Dynex will <br />provide the following: <br /> <br />- personnel to service all participants within a reasonable <br />time period; <br /> <br />- a van-type truck to transport waste to the Mounds View <br />facility; <br /> <br />- a tent-like canopy measuring approximately 20' by 40', with <br />retractable side walls; <br /> <br />at least two portable phones; <br /> <br />- all necessary personal protective equipment, spill kits, <br />fire extinguishers, eye wash station(s), a portable potable <br />water supply, a portable sanitary facility, and a portable <br />electricity generator (if necessary); <br /> <br />- all necessary equipment for. providing secondary containment <br />and packaging for safe transport to the Mounds View <br />facility; and <br /> <br />- traffic cones. <br /> <br />Site Operations <br /> <br />For more information on site operations, please consult the Ramsey <br />County/Dynex contract for HEW services. <br /> <br />The site will be open to the public between noon and 7 p.m. on <br />Fridays, and between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Dynex staff <br />shall erect the temporary canopy on: Friday mornings. The canopy will <br />remain set up on site overnight on Fridays, and disassembled at the <br />end of operations on Saturdays. The portable sanitary facility shall <br />be placed in an area not readily visible to the general public, and <br /> <br />-page 1, of 3 <br />
