This would also bring a ·presence· for the buildings out to the Hamline Avenue boulevard, rather than having a large setback (150') filled with parking lot. Everest indicated this might be too costly. They will submit the project as a sketch PUD in June. 5. Bruce Anderson, 1708 Oakcrest Mr. Anderson owns a home on Oakcrest on a 94'-wide lot near the foot of Aldine Street, backing up to the Rosedale Commons and Crossings shopping centers. Between him and his neighbor is the unbuilt right-of-way of Aldine Street which stubs into the shopping center property. His neighbor is selling his home and Mr. Anderson wants to buy the lot and vacate the Aldine right-of-way between the two lots to create a new buildable lot. The neighbor's lot is 77' wide; Aldine is 60' wide. The predominant lot width in the area is 75'. With his 94' lot combined with the 60' vacated street, he can easily create two new 77' lots. He will process a vacation request and a plat with variances. 6. Mike McCLure, 470 N. McCarrons Blvd. Mr. McClure owns a home on a double-fronted lot on McCarrons and Bayview Drive. His existing detached garage faces Bayview and is built right on the right-of-way line, leaving him very little room to park in his driveway. The lot slopes down in front to McCarrons Blvd, making it unreasonable to build a garage on that side of the house. Bayview is being reconstructed this summer and Mr. McClure wanted to explore his options for building a new garage or reorienting his driveway. His options are few. He will probably ask for a new 26'-wide driveway, allowing for a parking stall at the side of the existing garage.
