Threats <br />included: running out of room for business expansion and issues <br />federal Affordable Care Act. <br />Most of the ideas presented in this report as pertinent to Rosev <br />by the 17 people at the Research Review meeting. <br />OverviewofBusinessRetentionandExpansionStrategies <br />Profits are the key to the retention and expansion of businesses <br />place to live or raise a family, but business owners must make a <br />business. Loyalty to the community alone cannot keep businesses in a community. <br />In a free market economy, such as the United States, making a pr <br />business owners and managers. Government and community groups cannot singularly make a <br />business profitable. However, to the extent that government and <br />influence the business environment in their community, they can help businesses survive and <br />grow. The next section of this report details strategies and po <br />consider to help businesses become more profitable and, therefor <br />the community. <br />The potential projects included in this report are intended to b <br />consider during its Task Force Retreat on February 18, 2013. Th <br />using projects suggested at the Campus Research Review meeting and on economic development <br />theory and practice. The projects reflect the results of the bu <br />None of the projects included in this report will address all of the businessesÔ concerns or serve <br />as a key to prosperity for all businesses and the community. Ho <br />options that can help strengthen the business sector and the local economy. Note that feasibility <br />analysis has not been conducted on these potential project ideas <br />After the Task Force has prioritized its recommendations, the recommendations will be taken to <br />the Roseville HRA. The HRA will determine how the recommendation <br />implementation. The most effective BR&E implementation involves <br />sectors in the community.
