Guard posts or equivalent protection must be provided to protect the tank assembly against <br />collision by vehicles or aircraft. When guard posts are used, the posts must be: <br /> <br />a. Constructed of steel not less than 4 inches in diameter and filled with concrete; <br /> <br />b. Spaced not more than 4 feet apart on center; <br />c. Set not less than 3 feet deep in a concrete footing of not less than IS-inch diameter; <br /> <br />d. Set with the top of the posts not less than 3 feet above ground; and <br />e. Located not less than 5 feet from the tank. <br /> <br />""LA <br /> <br />It is our understanding that a private aircraft has a wingspan of roughly 40 feet from wingtip to <br />wingtip; the distance from cockpit to wingtip being roughly 15 feet. Please be advised that in <br />airport installations, collision protection may have to be provided further away from the tank <br />assembly in order to properly protect the tank, dispensing unit and vent piping from being <br />damaged by the wing of an aircraft. <br /> <br />6. The fill connection must be fitted with a minimum five gallon spill containment basin. <br /> <br />7.
