Mr. Lon Aune
March 14, 1994
Page 2

We have also calculated the distribution and traffic volumes which will enter Lincoln Drive in
the p.m. peak hour. At the south entrance from Outlot A onto Lincoln Drive, we anticipate
approximately 70 outbound left turns and 23 southbound to eastbound left turns into the
complex. At the center entrance, across from the entrance to Byerly's, we anticipate
approximately 45 westbound to southbound left turns and 195 southbound to eastbound left
turns from Lincoln Drive.

The volumes most impacted will be the outbound left turns at the south entrance where some
delays wìl1 occur. The volumes at the center entrance are less and there should be little left turn
back up, provided there are separate left turn and right turn lanes. The heavy southbound left
turn into the center entrance can be handled without any additional traffic control. Total
southbound volume increase on Lincoln Drive just north of County Road C is 135 vehicles to
be added to the 223 currently existing.

Based on these volumes, we anticipate that the traffic volumes wiU not create major problems
for Lincoln Drive. There will be some delays for traffic leaving the Roseville Crossing proposed
development.

If you need any additional information, details of our calculations or answers to questions,
please fee free to call us.

Sincerely,

Jßn~¿¡}~

Glen Van Wormer
Manager, Transportation Department

kam
c: Len Newquist - SEH

,.
