<br />, . <br /> <br />(3) All new plats shall be required to be served with <br />municipal water. <br /> <br />(4) Existing structures with private wells shall be <br />allowed continued use. No person, firm or <br />corporation shall alter, repair or extend any <br />private well without first obtaining a permit from <br />the Building Inspector. If municipal water <br />facilities are available to the property at the <br />time of the needed alteration, repair or <br />extension, connection to the municipal water <br />system is required. <br /> <br />(5) In the event that an existing structure with a <br />private well connects to the municipal water <br />facilities, the private well may continue to be <br />used for outdoor watering and maintenance. <br /> <br />(6) All public or private supplies of water for <br />domestic purposes shall conform to the Minnesota <br />Department of Health standards for water quality. <br /> <br />(7) All private wells which are abandoned must be <br />properly capped and closed according to the <br />Minnesota Department of Health requirements. <br /> <br />(8) On-site water supply systems must be designed to <br />minimize or eliminate infiltration of flood waters <br />into the systems. <br /> <br />(C) Sewage Treatment. <br /> <br />(1) Sanitary sewer mains and service connections shall <br />be installed to service all lots and shall be <br />connected to the public system. <br /> <br />(2) All new structures requiring sewage treatment <br />facilities must connect to the public sanitary <br />sewer facilities. Building permits shall not be <br />issued for new structures requiring sewage <br />treatment unless public sanitary sewer is <br />available. <br /> <br />(3) Existing structures with private sewage treatment <br />systems mustl upon the availability of the public <br />sanitary sewer to the property, hook up to the <br />public sanitary sewer system within one year. <br /> <br />200-117 <br />
