It is setback at least 20 feet from side property lines except where not <br />possible due to lot width, in such case, the structure shaU be located in the <br />center of the lot or as otherwise deemed acceptable by the Planning <br />Comnùssion, <br /> <br />e. It does not contain any sanitation facilities and is not used for habitation, <br /> <br />f It is screened fÌom view trom the lake and trom adjoining property as much <br />as practical thraough landscaping, use of natural color(s), topography, <br />and/or location. <br /> <br />g. No water-oriented structure, other than a lawful boathouse, or offpseason <br />storage, other than a lawful boathouse, or off-season storage of an ice <br />fishing house is permitted within the Shore Impact Zone. This setback <br />requirement may be waivedŸ!o<but sh~n not be reduced to less than 10 feet <br />from the OHW, if the Pht%inr~3~is~ion determines that a practical <br />difficulty exists which renders strict compliance to be unreasonable. <br />Practical difficulty shall be defined as due to topography or other <br />circumstance acceptable to the City. <br /> <br />h. A boathouse may be located within the Shore Impact Zone, provided it is <br />at least 10 feet landward of the OHW and it complies with the other <br />requirements stated herein. <br /> <br />(8) All accessory structures in this section shall have a height and setback as required <br />of an accessory buildings a.s regulated in the zoning section of the City Code. <br /> <br />D. Stairways, Chair Lifts, and Stair and Deck Landings. Stairways and chair lifts are the <br />preferred alternative to major topographic alterations for achieving access up and down <br />. bluffs and steep slopes to shore areas. Stairways and lìfts must meet the foUowìng design <br />requirements: <br /> <br />(1) stairways and chair lifts must not exceed four feet in width on residential lots. <br />Wider stairways may be used for commercial properties, public open-space <br />recreational properties, and planned unit developments; <br /> <br />(2) stair and deck landings for stairways and chair lifts on residential lots must not <br /> <br />BDS,7/19/94 14 <br />
