<br />18.080 <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />ZONI,NG COPE <br /> <br />18.050. Abrogation and Greater Restrictions. <br />This chapter supersedes ãll provisions of any City Zoning Cede <br />that relates to shorelands. However, the provisions of the <br />existing city Zoning Code and map of the city of Roseville, <br />Minnesota are hereby incorporated by reference and shall, to the <br />extent of greater restrictions only, be made as much a part of <br />this chapter as if the matter described were fully set out <br />herein. <br /> <br />It is not otherwise intended by this chapter to repeal, <br />abrogate, or impair any existing deed restrictions or ordinances <br />other than zoning to the extent specified in this chapter. <br />However, where this chapter imposes greater restrictions, the <br />provisions of this chapter shall prevail. <br /> <br />i8.û6û. Interpretation. <br />In the interpretation and application, the provisions of this <br />chapter shall be held to be minimum requirements, and shall be <br />liberally construed in favor of its expressed purpose. <br /> <br />18.070. Severability. <br />The provisions of this chapter shall be severable, and the <br />invalidity of any paragraph, subparagraph or subdivision thereof <br />shall not make void any other paragraph, subparagraph, subdivi- <br />sion or any other part. <br /> <br />18.080. Defiþitions. <br />For the purposes of this chapter, certain terms or words used <br />herein shall be interpreted as follows: The word "shall" is <br />mandatory, not permissive. All distances unless otherwise <br />specified shall be measured horizontally. <br /> <br />1. "Building Line" means that line measured across the width of <br />the lot at the point where the main structure is placed in <br />accordance with setback provisions. <br /> <br />2. "Cluster Development" means a pattern of subdivisior <br />development which places housing units into compact <br />groupings, while providirlg a network of conunonly owned 02 <br />dedicated open spaces. <br /> <br />3. IICondi tional Use" means a use of shorelands which if <br />permitted within a zoning district only when allowed by thE <br />city council, if certain conditions are met which eliminat. <br />or minimize the incompatibility with other permitted uses 0: <br />the district, and shall be authorized by a "Conditional US1 <br />permit". <br /> <br />101 <br />
