2. No Drive-up Front Entry

The new drive way in the front of the center will provide a one way access to the new
front lobby and overhead canopy. It will provide a quiet entry for prospective families
and residents, The new front entry, with the addition of canopy and lobby, will have a
calming, welcoming affect compared to the 3 junction corridor congestion the center has
now. The new square footage in the front lobby will provide more visiting space for
residents, their families and visitors.

3. Congested Rear Entry

This will be resolved with relocation of entry way to basement for staff, the new
Northeast entry for visitors, families, vendors, and new front entry for prospective
residents, and their families.

4. Four Locations for Resident Dining

The new dining room proposed for the north side will have the square footage needed to
accommodate all residents in two shifts. The key is now food will be served in one
location - not four locations, The food quality and dining room efficiency will be
enhanced for residents, Adequate space will be available for wheelchairs, which is not
the case at present.

5. Lack of Office Space

The three new offices built into the front area will help enhance total office space in the
center. New requirements have necessitated adding new personnel over the years. The
building hasn't caught up to new regulations in staffing requirements, such as staff
development, case management, social workers, volunteer coordinator, chaplain, and
others. We make due with several personnel in one office, which is crowded and
inefficient.

6. Physical Therapy in the Basement

By adding the dining room, we can relocate activities to the old dining room space. It
then makes it possible to move physical therapy (P.T,) from the basement to the current
activity room, This will allow residents to stay on the same floor where they currently
reside when they go for P, T. treatments instead of riding the elevator to the basement.
The location upstairs allows for easy access of our new therapy room for outpatient P. T.
to the community,

2
