City of Roseville
Braun Intertec contacted the City of Roseville Fire Marshal and Engineer for infonnation
pertaining to the SITE.

The Roseville Fire Marshal and Engineer were not aware of underground or aboveground
storage tanks, leaks or spills of chemicals and/or petroleum, land filling, or other potential
environmental hazards at or near the SITE.

C.8. Ramsey County Public Works Department
According to Mr. Bob Bock (maintenance superintendent), the property located northeast of
Kent Street and Larpenteur Avenue is used for the collection of street sweepings and seal coat
rock (pea gravel). The "compost" pile located adjacent to Kent Street is a mix of dead tree
stumps and tree and bush trimmings with sand and clay. This mixture will develop into a top
soil mix that can be used to seed boulevards and roadsides. Mr. Bock indicated that the gate
(located on the east side of Kent Street, north of Larpenteur) was installed at the SITE to
prevent the public from dumping refuse on the SITE. The Ramsey County Public Works
Department began using the SITE in the 1060's.

Mr. Bock was not aware of environmental concerns associated with or located adjacent to the
SITE.

C.9. Ramsey County Solid Waste Division
According to the Solid Waste Dump Site Inventory, provided by the client, the SITE is listed
as an anonymous complaint regarding an undisclosed amount of brush located on the SITE. In
addition, road tar/road sealant was sprayed on weeds in an unknown area of the SITE. The
exact date of the complaint was not indicated in the file infonnation.

D. SITE Reconnaissance

A SITE reconnaissance was conducted by a Braun Intertec Environmental Scientist on April 4,
1991. SITE photographs are attached in Appendix D, and a SITE sketch (supplied by the
client) is attached in Appendix E. At the time of the reconnaissance, the SITE consisted of
land containing a compost pile (east of Kent Street) and land containing a pea gravel pile
(north of Larpenteur Avenue). No hazardous appearing materials were noted in or near these
areas. SITE topography consisted of generally flat land with benns located on the north side
