Made of Specially treated aluminium, the COMPU-Metal labels are intended for use in harsh industrial environments, clean rooms, and property management and other specialised applications where consistent quality and a long life is required. With the introduction of these labels, harsh industrial environments in, say, a manufacturing plant, will no longer prevent the use of bar code scanning. The labels resist high humidity, salt spray, fungicide, solvents and other corrosive chemicals, including various cleaning solutions. Even vigorous.tests which involve heating to over 1,000 degrees F and prolonged abrasion can be withstood. A wide range of adhesives allows firm attachment to almost all surfaces under various temperatures. However, for applications in which attachment by adhesive is impractical, the labels can be produced with ready punched rivet holes. They are also available in a range of thicknesses to meet varying application requirements. COMPU-Metal labels incorporate a wide variety of bar code symbologies including code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, Codabar, BAN and so on in landscape or up-right formats, with or without human readable positioning, to suit the client. The durable bar code symbol holds static sequential or random information and features an extremely high print contrast ratio and bar code accuracy which will ensure first scan readability. Colour logos and a variety of images can be incorporated on the label, along with the bar code message, giving total design capability to the customer. Labels for other environments are also available from photographic paper to sophisticated specialist constructions such as the metal label mentioned above.
