He will be solely <br />responsible for the techniques and sequences of construction. <br />Before undertakinq the Work he will carefully study and compare <br />the Contract Documents and. check and ,verify all fiqures shown, <br />thereon,'an.d all 'field measurements. ,Be will at once report in <br />writing.to the ENGINEER any conflict, error or discrepancy which <br />he may discover. The 'CONTRACTOR will be responsible to see that <br />the finished Work complies accurately with the contract <br />Documents. <br /> <br />213.2 The CONTRACTOR sha;Ll keep on the Work at all times during its <br />progress a resident superintendent and supervisory staff, all <br />satisfactory to the ENGINEER. The superintendent shall not be <br />replaced without 'the consent of the ENGINEER except under <br />extraordinary circumstances. The superintendent will be the <br />CONTRACTOR'S representative at the site and shall have authority <br />to act on behalf of the CONTRACTOR.. All' instructions and . <br />notices given to the superintendent will 'be as binding as if <br />qiven to the CONTRACTOR. The superintendent shall report daily <br />to the' ENGINEER on the progress of the work and the number of <br />men on the job. 'I'he superintendent shall maintain complete <br />records of the work as it progresses and shall submit these <br />records with each request for payment. <br /> <br />213.3 The CONTRACTOR shall provide competent, qualified personnel to <br />review and layout the Work and perform the construction <br />required by the contract Documents. He ,.hall at all times <br />maintain good discipline and order among his employees at the <br />site. <br /> <br />213.4 The ENGINEER is not the agent of and. shall not De responsible <br />for the acts of omissions of the CONTRACTOR, or any Sub- <br />contractors, any Suppl1er, or any of his or their super in- <br />,1;~ndents, supervisory staffs, agents or employees. <br /> <br />214.0 SHOf DRAWINQft AND SAMPLES <br /> <br />214.1 After checking and ver1fyinq all field measurements, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall submit to the ENGINEER"for approval in <br />accordance with the accepted schedule of Shop Drawings sub- <br />missions, five copies (or, at the ENG~NEER'S option, one <br />
