April 7, 1995

City Planner
Michael Falk
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113

Dear Mr. Falk:

This letter is in response to proposed office/warehouse project in Roseville. The
planning file number is 2739 and planning file name is John N. Allen.

I am a resident of the neighborhood that will be negatively impacted by the proposed
office/warehouse project. I am STRONGLY OPPOSED to this project going up at this
location. I live at 3004 Troseth Road. I have two children ages 5 and 8. At this time I
can barely let my children play outside and ride their bikes on Troseth Road becuase of
the heavy traffic traveling at high rates of speed. Troseth Road has become a cut across
for people wishing to avoid traffic lights at either Old Highway 8 or 88. These people
generally do not live on this street and have no idea where small children live and play.
live just around a sharp curve and these people race around this corner and could never
stop if a child were playing near the street. I have actually had people end up in my
boulevard because of high speed driving.

My opposition to this project comes from the fact that if it is this bad now imagine how
bad it would be with an office/warehouse at the end of the street. With everyone
traveling to and from work and going to lunch, we'll be lucky if we ever get to walk on the
street we just paid for to be resurfaced, much less to go for a bike ride. The proposed
building spot doesn't seem big enough to house big buildings and adequate parking so there
will probably be on street parking making it even more dangerous for children.

, have already written a letter to the City of Roseville in regard to the police patrolling
this street onc'e in a while to stop these speeders and have gotten a call from one of the
policemen. It was a nice friendly call but since that call last October I have yet to see
anyone checking on traffic on this street. Nothing has changed except the prospect that it
will be worse with this proposed office/warehouse project.

There are plenty of office buildings in Roseville. I see no need to take a nice lot for new
homes and turn it into another half full office building with all the headaches that will go
along with it. Thank you for letting me voice my opinion.

Lori Carlson
3004 Troseth Road, Roseville, Mn 55113
628M9285

- 1 -
