Ms. Alberg is seeking a conditional use permit to operate a one employee part time beauty <br />salon in the basement of her home at 1160 Roselawn Avenue. She has talked to her <br />neighbors about her proposal and included with this report are letters and signatures of <br />surrounding neighbors indicating their support of Ms. Alberg's request. Based on the <br />limited scale of Ms. Alberg's proposed operation, together with the indicated support of <br />her neighbors, staff recommends approval of Karen Alberg's request for a conditional use <br />permit for a beauty salon in her home at 1160 Roselawn Avenue subject to the conditions <br />listed above. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. The Planning Commission, at the November 8, 1995 meeting, unanimously recommended <br />approval of Karen Alberg's request for a conditional use permit for a one chair beauty <br />salon at 1160 Roselawn Avenue with the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. Defining the hours business is conducted during the week. <br />b. Stipulating that there shall be no more than two client cars at a time and that those <br />cars must be parked off street. <br />c. That the conditional use permit is issued to the applicant only and shall <br />automatically expire upon the sale of the property. <br /> <br />3 <br />
