<br />Planning File #2813, Planning File Name: Bruce Kath <br /> <br />A Good Plan <br /> <br />Based on discussion at the hearing, it sounds as though the City Planning <br />Commission's current comprehensive plan addresses the concerns of the <br />neighborhood in providing a buffer of B1 zoning for that portion of the property on <br />Roselawn Avenue from the B2 commercial zoning for the Kath properties on Lexington <br />Avenue. That plan which the City Planning Commission drafted after careful <br />consideration for the overall benefit of the city, should not be scrapped for this <br />aggressive development plan. Mr. Kath could still develop a lucrative enterprise <br />without the rezoning of the Roselawn property. Changing the comprehensive plan for <br />this request diminishes the City Planning Commission's efforts to develop such a plan, <br />and sets a dangerous precedent for others seeking changes to this plan that was to be <br />a guiding document for the city in the years to come. The plan is good and rational and <br />serves all residents of Roseville, not just Mr. Kath. <br /> <br />Please do not rezone the B1 property on Roselawn Avenue, change the City Planning <br />Commission's Comprehensive Plan nor approve the conditional use permit for the <br />aggressive development plan proposed by Mr. Kath. It does not serve the community's <br />interest, and would require tremendous sacrifices from the surrounding neighbors. <br /> <br />Thank you for your careful consideration of this matter.
