<br />TSCHIDA OW ASSO fiLLS PLAT 4 <br /> <br />C. Storm Sewer <br />1. Pipe materials shall be: <br /> <br />a. Reinforced concrete pipe shall be class III or better. <br /> <br />b. Pipe used for subdrains shall be 4" PVCPP. <br /> <br />2. All flared end sections 18" in diameter and larger shall be equipped with trash <br />guards. Rip-rap and/or energy dissipaters shall be required for all sizes to prevent <br />erosion. Where noted on the plans, it will be necessary to install rip-rap material. <br />The product shall be Class III rip-rap as specified in 3601 of the MnDOT <br />specifications. This material shall be installed in accordance with 2511 of the <br />MnDOT specifications and according to standard details appended in these <br />specifications. <br /> <br />At locations noted on the plans or where directed by the Engineer, it shall be <br />necessary to place a filter blanket material. This material shall be as described in <br />3601 or 3733 of the specifications and shall be a Type-2 Filter Blanket or Class 3 <br />geotextile fabric. The material shall be installed in accordance with 2511 of the <br />specifications and according to MNDOT Standard Detail No. 3133-A. <br /> <br /> <br />2.2 Construction Requirements <br /> <br />A. Watermain <br /> <br />Gate valves shall be required for all hydrants. <br /> <br />All ~ate valves are to be retained no matter where they are in the system. <br /> <br />All watermain and water service crossing with storm sewer pIpe or storm <br />forcemain shall provide 3 feet vertical clearance or be insulated. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />
