Storm Sewer <br /> <br />Catch basin leads or storm sewers which cross the street in areas where soils are <br />highly frost susceptible shall be backfilled in accordance with guidelines as are <br />outlined in the MN DOT Road Design Manual. Section 806.02.08 and 806.02.09. <br />A drain tile pipe shall be placed on the bottom of the aggregate bedding trench, <br />which shall drain into a catch basin structure. A detail for this construction shall be <br />included in these Plans. In lieu of the MN DOT method, the City may consider an <br />alternate design. The alternate design shall be reviewed and approved by the City <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />Storm Sewer manholes and catch basins 48" diameter and larger shall be flat slab <br />and in accordance with Roseville Standard Spec. 502.3. Steps shall be provided on <br />all structures deeper than 4 feet. <br /> <br />C. Where interference with existing structures is possible or in any way indicated, <br />and where necessary to establish elevation or direction for connection to in-place <br />structures, the excavating shall be done at those locations in advance of the main <br />operation so actual conditions will be exposed in sufficient time to make <br />adjustments with resorting to extra work or unnecessary delay. <br /> <br />D. The Contractor shall keep accurate records of all service installations as to type, <br />location, elevation, point of connection and termination, etc. Service installations <br />shall not be back-filled until all required infonnation has been obtained and <br />recorded. <br /> <br />E. The grading contractor under separate contract will rough grade the site including <br />constructing the subgrade for street construction. <br /> <br />Prior to completion of the grading operations, the street sub grade will be staked <br />for the Contractor so that he can satisfy himself that the rough grading performed <br />by the grading contractor is to proper grade and compaction prior to beginning <br />work on the project. It will be graded to the following tolerances: The finished <br />subgrade elevation shall be :1:0.20 foot from plan elevation, with elevations not <br />being predominately high or low causing an excess or shortage of material. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
