<br />TSCHIDA OWASSO HILLS PLAT 4 <br /> <br />Where existing pipe fOWldation material is determined by the Engineer to be <br />Wlsuitable it shall be removed and replaced with granular fOWldation material. <br />The granular foundation material shall be taken from on site areas designated by <br />the owner. <br /> <br />Rock fOWldation material shall be used only when directed by the Engineer. Rock <br />bedding used by the Contractor in lieu of dewatering shall be considered <br />incidental to pipe installation and no additional compensation will be given <br />therefore. <br /> <br />NOTE: THE CITY SHALL INSPECT AND ACCEPT ALL UTILITY <br />CONSTRUCTION BEFORE STREET CONSTRUCTION BEGINS. <br /> <br />2.5 Testin~ (See also Roseville Standard Specs.) <br /> <br />1. Sanitary Sewer <br /> <br />All testing shall be performed by the Contractor at his expense without any direct <br />compensation being made therefor and he shall furnish all necessary equipment <br />and materials, including plugs and standpipes as required. <br /> <br />Prior to final acceptance of each section of sewer line, the Contractor shall flush a <br />ball, the full diameter of the sewer, through the line. This shall be done to remove <br />any dirt or debris which has entered the new installation. The dirt and debris shall <br />be prevented from entering the existing sewer system by means of water-type <br />plugs or other suitable methods. <br /> <br />Lamping - each section of sewer line between manholes shall be straight and <br />uniformly graded. Each section will be lamped. Lamping will be performed by <br />the Engineer. The Contractor shall furnish suitable assistance to help the <br />Engineer. <br /> <br />Exfiltration - If water table is less than 3' above pipe. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />
