Inside diameter of upper section <br />shall be standard for curb stop with which it is to be used. <br /> <br />Curb stops shall be Mueller MK 11 H-I5I50, oriseal curb valves, or equal. All threads <br />shall conform to the requirements of A WW A C800. <br />I <br />Curb boxes sha!l be Mueller M 10300 through 1" and H-10836 for 1 1/2" and 2" or <br />equal, with foot piece and equipped with stationary rod equal to Mueller No. 84274, <br />A.Y. McDonald 5671. All boxes shall be adjustable up and down for seven and a half <br />feet of cover. <br /> <br />Curb boxes shall be gray iron castings confonning to the requirements of ASTM A 48 <br />for Class 20 or higher tensile strength. <br /> <br />Each curb box and curb stop shall be permanently and plainly marked with the name or <br />trademark of the manufacturer. <br />I <br />302.206 AIR RELIEF VAL VB AND VAL VB MANHOLE <br /> <br />Air relief valve and manhole shall be installed as shown on the plans. <br /> <br />Valves larger tnan 12 inches in diametershall be placed in manholes. Manholes shall <br />meet the requirements of the Special Details in the plans and the requirements specified <br />in the Storm Sewer. Specifications of Section 500. Manhole rrames and covers shall be <br />equal to Neenah R-1733 with "WATER DEPARTMENT II stamped on the cover. <br /> <br />302.300 INSULATION <br /> <br />Insulation shall be equal to Dow Chemical Company STYROFOAM III brand plastic <br />foam. installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and at a <br />minimum of 4" total thickness. <br /> <br />302.400 GASKETS <br /> <br />Rubber Gaskets for mechanical joint and push-on joint shall confonn to ASA A2I.II <br />and shall be designed and manufact\1red to exact dimensions to 'assure a liquid tight joint. <br /> <br />302.500 ELECTRICAL 'BONDING OF JOINTS <br /> <br />Each joint on cast iron pipe, valves, hydrants or fittings, either "push-on" or mechanical <br />joint type shall be electrically bonded with an external copper jumper capable of carrying <br />500 amps. of current for an extended period of time to provide integral electric thawing <br />capabilities. . <br /> <br />These copper jumpers can be either shop or field applied in accordance with these <br />specifications.
