All stubs shall be plugged. <br /> <br />Each, sanitary sewer stub shall be m~ked' at the property line by 4" X 4" timbe; six feet <br />. to eight feet in length embedded four feet bei?w grade. <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the CONTRACTOR to keep an accurate record of service <br />connections, as to location, depth to top of, riser, type of connection provided~ etc. <br />Location shall be made <br />in respect to nearest manhole center"down-grade rrom the service. This record shall be <br />turned over to the ENGINEER at the end of each week. <br /> <br />403.6 MANHOLES <br /> <br />Manholes shall be constructed in accordance with Section 502.3 ofRoseville Standard <br />Specifications. <br /> <br />403.7 INFILTRATION <br /> <br />See Section 404.1 ofRoseville Standard Specifications. <br /> <br />404.0 TESTING <br /> <br />404.1 INFILTRATION IN SEWERS <br /> <br />Upon completion of the sewer construction and before any services are connected, <br />'leakage tests shall be made to determine the amount of ground water infiltration into <br />the sewers. Measurements will be made by means of9O degrees V-Notch weirs or <br />inflatable test balls placed in the lines. Measurements shall be taken at all points where, <br />in the opinion of the ENGINEER, the flow of water in the sewers is greater than the <br />maximum allowable leakage. <br /> <br />The maximum allowable rate of leakage shall be 100 gallons per inch diameter of pipe <br />per mile for 24 hours. . <br /> <br />In case measurements indicate a leakage greater than the maximum' allowable leakage at <br />the outlet of new construction, additional measurements shall be taken and continued <br />until all leaks are located and the necessary repairs and corrective work have reduced <br />the leakage in the section being tested below the maximum allowed by the <br />specifications. <br /> <br />404.2 DEFLECTION TEST <br /> <br />Upon completion of sewer construction and backfill, the CONTRACTOR will pull a <br />.mandrel through all lines 12" and smaller.
