<br />TSCHIDA OW ASSO HILLS PLAT 4 <br /> <br />2.3 Miscellaneous Removals and Replacement <br /> <br />The temporary removal, storage and replacement of street signs, traffic control signs, <br />mailboxes, fences and miscellaneous items shall be performed by the Contractor and <br />they shall be considered incidental to the project as a whole, with no direct payment <br />therefore. <br /> <br />2.4 Erosion Control <br /> <br />Installation of erosion control devices will be done by others under a separate contract. <br /> <br />The Contractor will take over and maintain the erosion control at the start of his work. <br />No direct payment shall be made for maintaining the erosion control set up by others. <br />Any silt fence and other erosion control necessary to control erosion shall be <br />incidental. <br /> <br />4. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />4.1 Subgrade Preparation (2112) <br /> <br />The Contractor will be required to prepare the subgrade in accordance with the <br />provisions of MN DOT 2112 except as modified herein. Cul-de-sac areas shall be <br />measured by 100 foot road stations along the centerline to the radius point and there <br />terminating. <br /> <br />4.2 Test Rolling <br /> <br />Prior to placement of the aggregate or bituminous base, the City will require the <br />completion of a test roll on the street subgrade. The Contractor shall provide a loaded <br />tandem axle truck with a minimum gross weight of 25 tons. The Contractor shall <br />provide a weight ticket for the test roll to the Engineer during the test roll. The test <br />rolling shall be at the direction of the Engineer. The City may require test rolling of <br />the aggregate base, once the base section has been constructed. Test rolling is <br />incidental to street construction. <br /> <br />4.3 Aggregate Base (2211) <br /> <br />Aggregate base construction shall be by the method of ordinary compaction. Water <br />truck and steel roller are required when aggregate is placed. Excess rock, when streets <br />are toleranced, will be removed and replaced with new aggregate. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
