<br />TSCHIDA OW ASSO HILLS PLAT 4 <br /> <br />Catch Basin castings shall be adjusted during the construction of curb and gutter, <br />providing a depression in the gutter flow line of 0.10' at the catch basin. Adjusting <br />rings and frames shall be set in a full bed of mortar. Payment shall be made at the <br />unit price bid for adjustment of water and manhole rings and castings. Payment for <br />adjustment of catch basin castings is incidental to the curb and gutter installation. If a <br />catch basin casting can not be aligned without removing the top slab of the catch <br />basin structure, then the Contractor shall be paid at the unit price bid for adjustment <br />of catch basin. <br /> <br />4.8 Testing Requirements <br /> <br />The following tests shall be required unless waived by the City Engineer. Cost of <br />these tests (except Test Roll) shall be paid for by the Owner. Costs of all retests due <br />to failure shall be born by the Contractor: <br /> <br />1. Compaction tests on sub-grade and base courses in <br />accordance with MN DOT 2105. <br /> <br />2. Test roll on sub grade (Incidental). <br /> <br />3. Gravel analysis. <br /> <br />4. Bituminous analysis. <br /> <br />5. Concrete Air - in accordance with MN DOT 2461. <br /> <br />6. Concrete Slump - in accordance with MN DOT 2461. <br /> <br />7. Concrete Strength - MN DOT 3A32 Design. <br /> <br />8. Concrete mix design shall be prepared by the testing <br />laboratory and submitted to the City Engineer. <br /> <br />9. Cores will be taken when the Engineer requests them. <br />If cores reveal streets are not to specifications, <br />the cost of cores is to be paid by the Contractor. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
