<br />SUPERINTENDENT - The representative for Contractor present on the job at all <br />times during it's progress. authorized to receive and fulfill <br />instructions from the Engineer and capable of supervising the <br />work efficiently. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OR MUNICIPALITY - The governmental unit having jurdisdiction over the premises.~ <br /> <br />PLANS - All drawings or reproductions of drawings pertaining to the construction <br />of the improvement outlined therein. <br /> <br />SHOP DRAWINGS - All drawings, diagrams, illustrations, and other data which are <br />prepared by the Contractor, a Subcontractor. manufacturer, <br />supplier or distributer and which illustrate the equipment, <br />material or some portion of the work. <br /> <br />PROJECT - The entire construction to be performed as provided in the Contract <br />Documents. <br /> <br />FIELD ORDER - A written order issued by the Engineer which clarifies or inter- <br />prets the Contract Documents or orders minor changes in the work. <br /> <br />WRITTEN NOTICE - Written Notice shall be deemed to have been daly served if <br />delivered in person to a member or officer of the firm or <br />corporation for whom it is intended, or if delivered at or <br />sent by first class mail or to the last business address known. <br /> <br />SURETY <br /> <br />Guarantor for the Contractor who, with the Contractor, signs an instru- <br />ment or instruments known as ~he "Bond" or "Bonds" guaranteeing that <br />the contractor will fully comply with the plans, specifications and <br />contract. <br /> <br />GC-2 <br />
