<br />3.2 - NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO BEGIN WORK <br /> <br />It shall be the Contractor's responsiblity to make any and all <br />notifications of his intencion to begin the work. This notification <br />shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the Owner, City, <br />Watershed District, Private Utility Companies, and Residences in the <br />area of his operations which will or may be affected thereby. <br /> <br />3.3 - PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE <br /> <br />Prior to the start of any work under this Contract, the Owner or Engineer <br />may require a Preconstruction Conference. The purpose of this meeting <br />will be for discussing and coordinating the schedule of work, to discuss <br />construction needs and procedures, and to finalize other administrativ~ <br />details. The Contractor shall be responsible for having those <br />individuals from his firm and any Subcontractor firms who will be on the <br />site and in charge of the work present at this conference. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 - BONDS AND INSURANCE <br /> <br />4.1 - BID BOND <br /> <br />All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable <br />without recourse to the Owner for not less than five percent (5X) of <br />the amount of the bid. The certified check or bid bond provided shall <br />be forfeited if the Contractor shall fail to provide the proper bond <br />and to enter into a Contract as provided by law. <br /> <br />4.2 <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE BOND <br /> <br />A good and sufficient performance bond in the sum of not less than the <br />full amount of the Contract, payable to the Owner, as provided by law, <br />shall be made and delivered to the Owner by the Contractor within ten <br />(10) days after notice of award of Contract. <br /> <br />4.3 - CONTRACTORS INSURANCE <br /> <br />Prior to the beginning of any work under this Contract, the Contractor <br />shall purchase all insurance required herein and maintain such insurance <br />throughout the life of this Contract. All insurance certificates shall <br />contain a provision that the coverage afforded under the policies will <br />not be cancelled or materially changed until at least fifteen (15) days <br />prior written notice has been given to the Owner and Engineer.
